If you’re really serious about environmentally-friendly gardening practices, refrain from developing some of your land and use it as an animal habitat. One side effect of this is that where animals thrive, so do birds and insects that help nurture and pollinate plants, which will increase the quality of your garden. Make A Difference With These Organic Gardening Tips!
Indoor Plants
Indoor plants have been bred over time to thrive in temperatures that are characteristic of a home. Most indoor plants like to be in about 70 degree temperatures, plus or minus 5 degrees. They need this type of warm temperature in order to grow. If you wish to keep your house cooler than that, you may want to use a heat lamp just for the plants.
Have all of your tools available to you as you garden to increase efficiency. You can wear an apron or pants that have a lot of pockets, or use a big bucket or can. Keep all of the tools you use and your gloves handy and will help you work more efficiently.
Sprouting seeds need less warmth than before. Move your plants away from the heat as they grow. You should also remove plastic films that you had on your containers to keep the humidity and warmth out. Watch your seeds closely to know how to go about this.
Keep plastic bags handy to cover your muddy gardening shoes. Having these available lets you keep your flow in movement, and helps you return to your gardening fast so you can finish up your day.
Pine can be a wonderful mulch. A number of plants commonly grown in garden settings do best in an acidic soil. If you have some of these plants, then pine needles are an easy way to add acid to their bed. Cover up your beds with a few inches of needles. As they start to decompose, they’ll spread out acid onto the ground and soil.
Coffee Grounds
Put coffee grounds in your soil. Coffee grounds have nitrogen that plants will utilize. It is best for your plants to use coffee grounds that are part of a blend of ingredients in the compost or soil you are using for your plants, rather than directly adding coffee grounds to your garden plants.
